Ahhh... very interesting...

I really liked this, it was really relaxing and melodic. Surprisingly, the constant hi-hats every half a second didn't get annoying to me, they just fit so well with the calm mood of the song and any repeated melodies or whatever didn't make it seem repetitive and/or take away from it... this song is like, fucking immune to repetitiveness thanks to it's chilling atmosphere, you could listen to it forever! The only thing I wasn't too excited about was the solo guitar that came in somewhere mid-song, it sounded a little unnecessarily glitchy but otherwise I loved everything else especially the feel to the song. Nice job man.

JesusSaves responds:

Thanx bro! btw, "Camel Toe Tango" is tha shit! Keep it up!

Woo, front page.

I saw this under the 'NG Featured Media,' and thought, "Hey, I haven't checked out Solus's crap (lol, it's okay, I call everything crap) in a while, gotta look into this."

As Chronamut mentioned I think you had a little too much delay on the drums/percussion. I can't say I liked the "wishy-washy" synth effect too much ("Wishy-washy" it's what it sounds like) but otherwise, the rest of it was nice, ambient-ish and space-y.

SolusLunes responds:

Eh, this was one of my earlier pieces, and I still like the wishywashiness! Mreh! And yeah, I call everything crap too. So yeah, ambient and spacy... mmm... spacy...

Tell me when you get some new stuff out!

Another sexy track by... you!

This really caught me off guard, I really expected it to sorta pick up from where Part 1 left off but instead it was in a completely different genre! I didn't notice it was in trance section until I listened to it and thought "whoaaa..." and so is this really Part 2 or just a remix of the first? I dunno, still good though :D it would be interesting if you kept up with the ATWC series and did like a remix of the original in every genre! Gasp! You'll be like Isaac Asimov except with music! (I believe it's the only author who has written a book in every dewey-decimal category.) If you did do it you'd probably be the first one too, because who the hell submits in the bluegrass section anyway? (Lol, Denvish literally owns half of the bluegrass section, nevermind.)

I enjoyed it, it was excellently composed and structured just as the rest as your tracks. It was also a good spin on things, since most of your ambient-ish-like tracks have a subtle and eerie feel to them but unlike this one when the synths kick in full blast it's really upfront and in your face... like a punch or something, but a good one since that is what trance is suppose to be, so you hit your target you were aiming for. I liked the background vocals you had going on every now and then through-out the song and the phaser you pulled on the plucked strings somewhere was also a nice touch.

Most definitely a good job, this get's a 5 from me and I'll be keeping my eyes on YOUR audio page.

P.S. I replied to your reviews on some of my tracks, just to let ya know.

LaymanLove responds:

Ya, I've been itching to do a real power-trance track. I got the idea to make a part two while I was working on part one--I was playing around with a riff towards the end of part 1 and then end product sounded like something from a trance song. So what ended up being the bass riff for part 2 is actually in part one, it just carries over...That's how they connect. Thanks for the review man

You are truly an ambience genius.

I love you. Your music makes me wet in special places. (lol) Well I must say that you make exceptional ambient music. I thought this belonged in the ambient section rather than the misc since it was so calming. Your build-ups are amazing and you do an outstanding job keeping your individual instruments/sounds subtle and letting them just slowly creep up on the listener... slowly getting louder and louder... until POW! I can't quite explain it but it's amazing and flawlessly executed.

I really like the sounds and FX you use also, all of them seem to fit together like puzzle peices, nothing is too loud, nothing is too hi-pitched or low-pitched and it really makes the song a whole. Like a good dinner or something, nothing was left out nor misplaced and you leave the table completely full and satisfied. :D

Everytime I listen to Eternal Passage it sucks me in through my headphone and I'm captivated by it. I always get goose bumps when I listen to it since it was so well done. Incredible job!

Your songs have decent scores but they deserve much higher, you need some recognition because your music is really good. I'm gonna 5 all of your songs because that's what they have all truly earned :)

(My favorites from you are "Eternal Passage," "Verbatim Title Theme," and "A Time Will Come [Pt.1]" Can't wait til you come out with "A Time Will Come [Pt.2]"! Oh and by the way, what software did you use to make all of these songs?)

If this song were a plate of pork ribs, I would devour it and then wash it down with a ice cold Budweiser. Thanks for the review and the listen and of course the great scores! A time will come part 2 is underway, and I am experimenting with some aspects of the Drum N Bass technique...stay tuned!

Wow :D

I've listened to a lot of your tracks recently and the scores are on them are disgustingly low compared to how good they actually are. You, my friend, certainly need more recognition, the level of complexity in your compositions is amazing.

I loved this song, definitely 6 out of 5. But since I can't find the damn 6 button I'll just give it a 5 =P

I'm gonna side with Flashburn and 5 all your songs also =)

DavidOrr responds:

Thanks for doing that, it's great that there are people that do that just to help someone get a little more recognition. Glad you liked my stuff :)

This was definitely a sexy track...

I loved it. Very calming and the synths were awesome. The drums were also very really good.

I just checked my e-mail account for NG and I got your e-mail from two days ago... with the super-secret-thing-that-must-be-hushed-if-mentioned =P haha, I'm gonna reply to your e-mail soon with a review and an idea I have which includes this song. So make sure to check it out :D

5 outta 5! Nice job!

SolusLunes responds:

Alrighty then, I will do that :)
And what thing? I know not what you're talking about... la la la la la...
I'm glad you liked this song though!

Oh my...

This was one sexy track my friend. Very crisp and all instruments/synths were insanely clear. I gotta agree with the rest of everyone else when they said you had a good melody because I enjoyed it also. The panning was very good and overall instrument/synth choice couldn't have been better, none of them seemed to dominate over the other and they just sorta merged together into a big unique sound. It was very calming.

Great job! 5 outta 5 from me!

MattBlair responds:

I thank you so much for reviewing this man. I dont mean to sound egotistical, but I love the melody too. Thanks again for all your comments.

Peace!

Just reviewed Crimson Keys might as well this one!

Unlike Crimson Keys where you have too much decay on the reeverb for the piano, this is just perfect! I also thought the bassline was just awesome and when the sharp string synths came in I was in love. This is definitely a great composition. The only thing I am sketchy about is the choir you put in there going "ah oh oh, ah ah oh oh, ah oh oh"! I think you made those poor men work too hard, it really sounded like they were trying to catch their breath rather than sing something. Otherwise, the ending was fantastic and so was the rest of the song. SolusLunes wasn't kidding when he gave you that McPerfectBurger, you certainly deserved it.

You sir, get a big fat 5!

I loved it.

I must say this is probably one of my most favorite tracks by you, I really would have liked it if you could have continued it but too bad you lost the original work files =/

I thought the whole background snare phaser echo thing was great! Probably my favorite part of the song a side from the strings you used, which I must add, fit perfectly with the choir, ePiano(?) and mallets(?) in the background.

I think the overall instrument choice couldn't have been any better, each really merged with each other to create a very interesting sound, I was just kinda sucked into the music altogether.

On a final note, I think this should have been put in the ambient section rather than the miscellaneous, it was very calming.

6/5! (haha, darn 6 isn't there, guess I'll just give it a 5)

LJCoffee responds:

Thanks again!

Yeah - unfortuneatley my system crashed a little while back and I lost a ton of data - After a bit, I'll go back to this piece and remake it - it's a .. umm.. sort of an electronica based version of a classical piece that I wrote a looooooong time ago. So was "Techno-Loop Aportal submission" actually - that one (which isn't great) was also a more techno-ish adaptation of one of my first classical compositions.

As for the genre - I stopped bothering with correct placement and now I just slam everything into misc. - although I'd probably do better if I properly classified each track... Oh well :)

Nice...

Besides the awesome guitar, crazy beat and fucking incredible panning... the thing I like most about this song was the title.

Hahah...

"There's some Soup in my Fly"

...priceless.

5/5!

LJCoffee responds:

:D

I suppose that could be taken a few different ways - depending on exactly what kind of fly we're talking about.

Thank you so much for coming back to review a few more - and for the very nice scores!
